For a marketing team, a briefing form built with vibe coding can structure requests before the first conversation. Its purpose is to collect what the work requires through a journey colleagues understand. The number of fields comes later.
Start with the questions you keep asking
Review anonymised requests or reconstruct fictional examples. What is most often missing: objective, audience, deadline or approver? Group these needs before designing the form.
Do not make every question mandatory. Some information may be unknown at the time of the request. Offering “To clarify together” can be more useful than an invented answer entered just to continue.
Distinguish the need from the requested format
Someone might ask for a video when their real objective is to explain a new procedure. Ask about the objective and audience first, then the proposed format.
For the prototype, prepare four sections: context, objective, recipients and constraints. The output is a sheet the marketing team can complete during discussion. This keeps attention on the problem to solve.
Make data entry understandable
A short example below a question can help more than a long introduction. For “Objective”, try: “What should the recipient understand or do after reading?”
W3C recommendations for accessible forms include identifiable labels, instructions and appropriate feedback. In your prototype, also check keyboard navigation, readable errors and preservation of answers when users go back.
Test three different requests
Use a simple internal announcement, a campaign that needs clearer scope and an urgent request. Check what the form collects and what remains to discuss. The summary should distinguish answers from information still unknown.
If users paste the same paragraph into several fields, two questions may overlap. If everyone asks what a term means, change its label. These observations show what to simplify.
Decide how the team receives the brief
A printable or copyable summary can be enough for the first trial. If you add sending or saving, verify the destination, permissions and actual confirmation message.
The prototype should announce what it does. “Summary prepared” and “Request sent” describe different actions. Keeping that distinction visible prevents colleagues from waiting for an answer to a request that was never transmitted.
Frequently asked questions
How many fields should there be?
Keep the fields that prepare the work or identify missing information. Test with reconstructed working situations before adding questions.
Do you need an email connection?
Not to check the quality of the brief. It can be added after the journey and sending rules have been validated.
